Title: Exercise training as immunometabolic protection in trauma + hemorrhagic shock
Elucidating immunometabolic regulation (and dysregulation) of the post-injury inflammatory response is one of the next frontiers in improving care and outcomes for the severely injured trauma patient. Exercise training is a known immunometabolic modulator. We have employed multiomic techniques to probe a murine model of exercise training followed by hemorrhagic shock plus tissue trauma, with a focus on the bone marrow cellular and circulating molecular compartments. This presentation will summarize the results and potential interpretations of this project.
