Our research is focused on improving both short and long term patency rates of vascular grafts through a novel approach to vascular graft design by pairing compliance matching with dynamic luminal topography. I will briefly touch on some of our ongoing research into developing and testing these novel grafts. We will then shift gears to a related aim comparing arterial endothelial expression of arteries that are allowed to remain dynamic to those that are forced into a non dynamic or constricted state. If we have time I will finish by discussing some preliminary findings of our ongoing retrospective study looking at claudication outcomes.
