Title: Perioperative Circadian Optimization: Development of a Randomized Controlled Trial Evaluating Blue Light Therapy in Rectal Cancer

Description: In this final Simmons talk, I will provide updates on two of my main projects surgical education and colorectal surgery. Mentored by Dr. Sara Myers, I have worked with the HSLS to complete a systematic review examining the role of holistic review in promoting diversity in graduate medical education - I will present the results of this review during this talk. I have also worked with Dr. Robert Tessler on a handful of clinical projects and will discuss our casual mediation analysis aimed at elucidating the relationships between income inequality, social deprivation, and rurality as they pertain to colorectal cancer outcomes.
