Dr. Raquel Forsythe is Associate Program Director for the General Surgery Residency Program, Director of Education in the Division of Trauma Surgery, and Medical Director of eRecord at UPMC. She pursues clinical investigations that focus upon the processes of delivering trauma care and has spearheaded projects to optimize the acquisition of EMR data for the conduct of both QI and research investigations. Her studies include the development of algorithmic approaches to treating the injured patient, such as the development of prehospital triage scores, and larger studies of trauma system regionalization.
